Internet Banking provides a highly secure environment for carrying out your banking activities on the Internet. A multi-layered security architecture comprising firewalls, filtering routers, encryption and digital certification ensures that your account information is protected from unauthorized access.

protect against any unauthorized access to your
accounts, your login is automatically disabled after 5
consecutive login failures. In case your access is
locked, you will have to inform the bank. The Bank
will then enable your User ID and send you a new
password by courier after verification.

Internet access specifics
Bank Melli Iran's Internet Banking can be accessed only using SSL-enabled browsers. The software works with Microsoft Internet Explorer version 4.0 (or later) and Netscape's browser version 4.0 (or later) which come with SSL support. It will not be possible to access Internet Banking using text based browsers like Linux.
- You can access Internet Banking only by using your User ID and Password. During the first login attempt, it is mandatory to change passwords, which would have been mailed to you by the Bank.

If you forget your password, you
have to inform us by way of a duly signed letter. The
Bank will then issue a new password and send it to
you. Upon your acknowledgment of receipt of the new
password, we will activate your account with the new
password.
