History of Bank Melli Iran, U.A.E.

Bank Melli Iran began its U..A.E operations in 1969 and its first branch commenced operations on 1 January, 1970. The Branch was inaugurated by the then Ruler of Dubai, the legendary and visionary leader, the Late His Highness Sheikh Rashid Al Maktoum.

From this date, Bank Melli Iran, U.A.E. has played a very active role in the trade activities of Dubai and with opening of branches in Abu Dhabi, Al Ain, Sharjah, Fujairah and Ras Al Khaimah, the Bank’s role covered the entire U.A.E.

In Dubai, the Bank has two full-fledged branches, one being the Main Branch in Deira Dubai and the other being the Bur Dubai Branch. In addition to this, the Bank has a pay-office located inside the premises of the Iranian Hospital in Satwa, Dubai.

Thus with a total of 7 branches and a pay-office, BMI has been catering to the various business requirements to its customers in the U.A.E.
